During a meeting with members of the Pakistan Chamber of Commerce in Islamabad on Thursday, Ghalibaf emphasized the longstanding historical, social, and cultural ties between the two nations.
He noted that Iran and Pakistan, as brotherly, Muslim, and neighboring countries, share numerous common interests.
Referring to Iran’s extensive capacities and opportunities in various sectors, including pharmaceuticals, medical sciences, nanotechnology, as well as in oil, gas, and petrochemicals, he said that the country has achieved significant accomplishments in these fields.
However, the two nations undoubtedly share formidable adversaries, he added.
Iran and Pakistan should develop economic, energy, and petrochemical cooperation, he noted.

Speaker of Parliament Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf says that Iran’s military prowess, which delivered an unprecedented blow to the Israeli regime, demonstrated the power of Islam and the Islamic Ummah.
Ghalibaf, leading a parliamentary delegation to Pakistan, held talks with Yusuf Raza Gilani, the acting president of Pakistan, at the Presidential Palace on Thursday.
During the meeting, Ghalibaf said that the Israeli aggression against Iran in mid-June occurred while Tehran was engaged in nuclear negotiations, the peaceful nature of which had been consistently verified.
The assault, launched with only 48 hours remaining before a new round of talks and with direct American support, was characterized as a profound lesson for all nations, he said.
Ghalibaf argued that the incident exposed the insincerity of both the Israeli regime and the United States.
For his part, Gilani condemned the attack on the Islamic Republic, adding that Iran’s courageous response had stunned the international community.
