Trump’s Plan and Concealment of Israel’s Crimes

NOURNEWS – The second anniversary of October 7 and the Al-Aqsa Operation Storm marked yet another reproduction of the West’s one-sided narrative against Palestine. Western media and political leaders, by amplifying Israel’s self-victimization and disparaging the resistance, sought to project a distorted image of Gaza’s reality.

In Western media coverage, the anniversary of October 7 was portrayed as though the main event was Israel’s suffering, not the beginning of a humanitarian catastrophe in Gaza. This approach—by erasing the historical roots of the conflict and ignoring Palestinian rights—crafted an emotional and biased image. Examples include the statements of the German chancellor and reports by the BBC and Deutsche Welle, which focused on Israeli casualties while omitting references to the ongoing assaults and acts of genocide, thereby evoking one-sided sympathy. Such narrative-building not only distorts reality but also fuels global mistrust toward international media and undermines Palestinian efforts for justice.

Legitimizing Occupation

Western media and officials, by emphasizing Israel’s losses and casualties, have simultaneously whitewashed the regime’s crimes and fostered a patronizing portrayal of Palestinian resistance. This narrative, while showcasing Israel’s power, conveys the message that resistance is futile and bound to fail. The absence of coverage on prisoner exchanges and the achievements of the resistance, coupled with an intensified focus on initiatives such as Trump’s plan, forms part of this deliberate strategy. Ultimately, such an approach paves the way for normalizing Israel’s domination and diminishing global support for Palestinian rights.

Exaggerating Trump’s Plan and Concealing the Truth

By highlighting Trump’s plan and the Sharm el-Sheikh talks, Western media and politicians have sought to push aside two years of humanitarian disaster and genocide in Gaza. In this narrative, the negotiations are presented as the centerpiece of peace, even as the massive flow of weapons to Israel continues. This approach reflects a calculated effort to sanitize the images of both the West and Israel, while concealing the reality of extensive military support for the genocide in Gaza. Thus, instead of focusing on human rights and justice, the media have created an atmosphere that legitimizes political schemes and the strategic interests of the Zionist regime.

Strategic Consequences of This Narrative

This unilateral Western narrative carries significant strategic consequences.

First, it weakens the legitimacy of Palestinian resistance in global public opinion.

Second, it reinforces the strategic alignment between Israel and the West against the resistance front.

Third, it reduces international pressure on Israel, empowering it to persist in occupation and genocide.

On a broader level, this approach steers the regional order toward consolidating Israel’s unilateral dominance while undermining the axis of resistance—creating new threats to the security and stability of West Asia.
