In a Monday statement, the General Staff of the Armed Forces congratulated the country on Government Week, commended the efforts of Iranian officials—particularly President Masoud Pezeshkian—and pledged their support in advancing the goals of the Islamic Revolution.
“The Armed Forces assure that by strengthening the sacred unity, solidarity, and synergy with the people and officials of the country—especially the President—they will confront any threat from the enemies of the country and the Islamic Revolution more forcefully than before, making the enemies of Iran and Iranians regret their actions forever,” read the statement.
The statement also extended deep gratitude for the support provided by the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, during the 12-day US-Israeli-imposed war against Iran.
It underlined that in line with the leader’s directives, it will employ all its strength “in defending the interests of the nation and beloved Iran, the territorial integrity of the country, and the foundation of the sacred Islamic Republic system.”
The statement went on to highlight that during the turbulent years of the Islamic Revolution, the nation’s solidarity with the country’s officials and armed forces has frustrated Iran’s enemies and turned their sinister plans into despair and defeat.”
After their defeat in the 12-day war, the US and Israel tried to sow division within Iran to compensate for their loss, but the nation’s vigilance thwarted their plans, it noted.
“Any discord or conflicting voices—from any faction or platform—that undermines national unity is undoubtedly playing into the hands of the Zionists and the United States,” it warned.
The statement also added that, through false portrayals and distortion of facts, “the system of dominance” tries to “undermine the sacred unity” of the nation with its leaders.
However, the statement noted, “it is unaware that Iran’s vigilant, discerning, and resilient people, by following their wise, enlightened, brave, and devoted Leader, continue to support their officials and the courageous members of the Armed Forces, and, contrary to the enemies’ plans and objectives, become even more united and cohesive in the face of plots and malice.”
The Leader, in his remarks on Sunday, also stressed the need to preserve national unity and support the country’s officials, warning that the enemies are seeking to create divisions after failing to defeat Iran through war.
“The invincible shield of solidarity between the people, officials, and the Armed Forces must never be undermined,” Ayatollah Khamenei said.
