Purposeful massacre of journalists; Israel’s tool to control public opinion

By physically eliminating journalists in Gaza, the Zionist regime is carrying out one of the most unprecedented strategies of media oppression in contemporary history. This trend, which has continued after the martyrdom of journalists like “Walaa Al-Jaabari,” goes beyond human loss. It is a precise security objective to erase the message of resistance and prevent global public opinion from understanding the humanitarian disaster in Gaza. This is not a case of mistaken identity, but a pre-planned act of intelligence-based terrorism.

When global silence is the green light for crime
The inaction of international communities, particularly organizations that support freedom of speech, regarding the murder of journalists, is practically like granting immunity to war criminals. The Association of Palestinian Journalists, in a statement, has emphasized that the silence of global entities is a kind of passive complicity in the project to silence the voice of Palestine — a phenomenon that has undermined not only international institutions but also the pillars of global justice.

Media resistance, narrative under fire
In contrast to the targeted killings, Palestinian journalists have become symbols of resistance. With the slogan “coverage continues,” they are narrating the truth amidst ruins, smoke, and fire. While the majority of domestic, Arab, and international media offices have been destroyed, a Palestinian journalist with his camera becomes the voice of the voiceless — a voice that, in defiance of the occupiers’ will, raises awareness around the world about the scale of the crimes and compels public opinion to react.

War of narratives; new tools of deterrence
The massacre of journalists is part of the battle of narratives — a battle the Zionist regime fears to lose. In a world where sometimes narratives act more effectively than bullets, silencing the media is an effort to weaken resistance in a political-psychological war. From this point of view, Gazan journalists are not merely carriers of images and news, but are one of the deterrent elements against the occupying regime — a deterrent that is now directly targeted.
