Pezeshkian made the remarks during a Saturday visit to the Tehran governor’s office to review progress on the province’s rail projects. During the meeting, top rail transport officials presented detailed reports on the current state of the network, its shortcomings and capacity constraints, and proposals for expanding regional and commuter routes.
The meeting focused on clearing bottlenecks and mobilizing all available resources to accelerate rail projects under construction. Participants also discussed ways to improve service quality for passengers.
The session was held as part of government efforts to prioritize clean public transport and ease chronic traffic congestion in the capital.
