Iran’s Persian Gulf University, University of Aegean in Greece ink cooperation agreement

Persian Gulf University of Bushehr and the University of the Aegean in Greece have signed an agreement on scientific and educational cooperation to develop the capacity for scientific collaboration.

The agreement was signed following the efforts made by Iran’s ambassador and cultural attaché, and with the presence of officials from the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Athens.

Accordingly, the two universities will cooperate in various fields including professors and students exchange, defining joint theses, and holding short-term and long-term educational courses.

These programs aim to enhance scientific, educational, and research interactions between Iran and Greece.

Referring to the geographical location of both universities their common scientific commonalities, President of Persian Gulf University Ahmad Shirzadi expressed hope that this agreement would define joint missions and have positive and constructive effects for both sides.

He also urged professors and students to take practical steps towards implementing joint projects by identifying potential capacities and inter-university cooperation.

Persian Gulf University has considered special incentive packages for joint activities, including support for study opportunities between the two universities and utilizing international research grants available, he added.

He went on to say that joint cultural festivals will be held between Iran and Greece centered on Persian Gulf University and the University of the Aegean.
