Even under sanctions and economic pressure, Iran has not closed the door to offering services to migrants and has respected their legal rights. Nevertheless, within the framework of internationally accepted norms, Iran—like any other country—has the right to deal with illegal immigrants and regulate unauthorized migration. This approach fully aligns with international norms, and similar actions are taken annually by European and American countries. The negative portrayal of these measures by Western media is, in fact, part of a psychological warfare campaign aimed at creating a rift between Iran and Afghanistan—one that is doomed to fail thanks to the awareness of both nations.

Western crocodile tears and forgotten atrocities
The same Western media and false human rights advocates now shedding tears for Afghan migrants were completely silent during the genocide in Gaza and the crimes committed by the U.S. and the Zionist regime against the Iranian people. Not only did they remain silent, but they also stood on the side of the criminals. Their support for attacks on Iranian civilians, women, and children—and their disregard for the atrocities in Evin—clearly shows they have no genuine concern for humanity. The blatant contradictions in their behavior reveal that their so-called humanitarian claims are nothing more than political tools used to pressure Iran and disrupt regional unity.

The West’s shameful record on refugees
Western countries themselves hold the record for committing atrocities against Afghan refugees—from inhumane treatment in UK and U.S. camps to deadly European immigration policies that have drowned thousands in the seas. These all serve as evidence of the emptiness of Western claims to defending migrant rights. The same West that committed countless crimes during 20 years of occupying Afghanistan cannot now claim to defend the rights of Afghans in Iran. This disgraceful record will not be erased through media attacks on Iran.

Root of the crisis: Western economic terrorism and imposed poverty
A large portion of unsafe migration and the entry of undocumented individuals is a direct result of Western sanctions and economic pressure targeting the livelihoods of regional nations—especially Afghanistan. By spreading poverty and instability, the West has effectively pushed people toward terrorist groups that it has itself created and supported. This vicious cycle, designed to destabilize the region, will be neutralized through the vigilance and unity of nations like Iran and Afghanistan. Instead of hollow slogans, the West must be held accountable for these human tragedies.
