U.S. Congresswoman: Congress must rein in Trump
Melanie Ann Stansbury, a U.S. Representative from New Mexico’s 1st congressional district since 2021, reacted to Donald Trump’s attack on Iran’s nuclear facilities in a post on her X account. She called on Congress to take action to rein in Trump’s unilateral and dangerous behavior.
She wrote:
“The American people are clear – they do not want the U.S. dragged into another endless war. The President has taken unilateral military action without Congressional approval – putting out troops and bases at risk and threatening to further escalate conflict in the Middle East.
Congress must rein in this President.
To my GOP colleagues who have remained silent, it is time to step up.
